How to use MyPress Rosin Press Machine? 420 Guide for Beginners
As rosin press machines continue to hit the market with more demand to make your own cannabis oils, the quality between manufacturers becomes a big issue. Some of the early adopters in the sector still have issues with relying on butane.
The MyPress rosin press is solventless, so the extraction process never impacts your oil’s purity or taste.
With this process, you can leave harmful solvents like butane behind, and extract pure oils in just a matter of minutes.
MyPress GEN2 is a portable, lightweight and personal press designed from scratch in Colorado. Our custom 3×3 stainless steel Axiom plates deliver even heat across the plates. MyPress has an easy to read, operator-friendly LCD interface with a simple button layout. Easily set and apply heat to the stainless steel Axiom Plates with temperatures ranging from 100° to 250° Fahrenheit (37°C – 121°C).
MyPress features a count-up timer, which halts counting when opened and resets from zero when closed again, allowing the operator to efficiently monitor the process, and fine-tune adjustments to realize the best yield or finest aromas. This proprietary functionality allows the operator to record and track the best starting material-specific results for later repetition. While the quality of starting material directly influences the end result, MyPress will maximize your material’s potential. MyPress is easy to use, requires only a gentle application of human force to close and lock the plates. MyPress is capable of industry-specific standards when utilizing quality starting materials.

Stainless Steel Axiom plates
This portable rosin press comes with 3 x 3 stainless steel Axiom plates that are able to deliver a range of heat between 160 degrees Fahrenheit up to a maximum of 280 degrees Fahrenheit in 10-degree increments. The plates offer enough space to be able to process your cannabis materials most efficiently. The plate size is 3.07 x 3.07 inches, and they are made from stainless steel. The maximum pressure is of six tons.
Safety features
My Press rosin press comes with a few safety features. The included pressure adjusting wrench lets you adjust the pressure keeping your hands away from the heated plates while the press is running. The press automatically powers off after 30 minutes of no activity. My Press is designed so that it stays in a closed position when you are not using it. This means that the plates will not be exposed or touched by accident. If the press’ heat exceeds 400 degrees Fahrenheit, the machine will automatically power off. The plates and frame are grounded.
Cold Pressing:
70 °C – 90 °C, pressed for one and five minutes or longer. Result: batter consistency, rich terpene preservation, but sometimes lower yield.
Hot Pressing:
90 °C – 105 °C, pressed for between 45 seconds and 3 minutes. Result: oily or shatter-like consistency, high terpene preservation, and often higher yield than in case of cold pressing.
The speed and consistency in which the trichomes liquefy depend greatly on what temperature is being applied, as well as the evenness of the heat distribution. Some experts believe that you can reach the best compromise between final product quality and yield if you apply a 100 °C – 105 °C range. But it all depends on your goal: if you go for terpenes and quality, start colder and test. It is up to you to find out what works best for you.
